IT Innovation Award 2012 und 2013
Since 2004 The IT Innovation award had been awarded to small and mid-sized companies providing highly beneficial and effective new services for other mid-sized organizations. LinguaTV was awarded as the 'Best of 2012' and 'Best of 2013' within both the 'E-learning' and 'Apps' categories of the competition for the brilliantly effective work that they have done on web-based training systems and their online language course.
ELTons 2011 International Award
LinguaTV’s ‘Business English’ language course was pleased to be nominated for the prestigious ‘ELTon's International Award’ in 2011 as the first German provider to be nominated in 3 years. Awarded by the highly regarded The British Council, the compittition recognizes cutting-edge new products and services for English language teaching.
Comenius EduMedia Seal 2010
The Comenius EduMedia Seal certifies ‘excellent didactic and media quality’ and has been awarded every year since 1995 by the Society for Pedagogy and Information (GPI). The aim of the award is to promote pedagogically and content strong, high-quality ICT-based educational media. Including general and educational multimedia products, training and learning management systems, and computer games. Since all of the products nominated have to meet a strong educational and scientific criteria, closely scrutinized by a select group of specialists, LinguaTV was over-the-moon about their success.
Interactive Media Awards 2010
The judges for the Interactive Media Awards are predominantly web designers, programmers, developers, and other Internet specialists who assess the quality of websites in terms of design and development. LinguaTV was extremely happy to accept the 'Outstanding Achievement' award for ‘Education / Vocational Training’ in design, development and implementation.
MEDEA Awards 2009
The MEDEA Awards promote innovation and good practice of media in education. As a non-profit organisation, they are supported by the European Commission’s Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) - and 'German for beginners', LinguaTVs' very first course, was awarded the distincition 'Highly Recommended' by a panel of educational and media experts from 26 countries.
World Summit Award 2009
In 2009, LinguaTV was the only German laureate to receive the World Summit Award in the ‘e-Learning and Education’ category. Supported by the UNESCO, UNIDO and the Internet Society the award is given to the world's best e-Content and most innovative ICT applications. The prize aims to draw attention to high-quality new media and draws attention to new forms of creativity.
German IPTV Award 2008
In 2008, LinguaTV was awarded first prize for 'Best Business Model' at the German IPTV Awards. The German IPTV Association is an association of small and medium IPTV (Internet Protocol television) enterprises. In their awarding statement the judges praised LinguaTV for its excellent interaction between content and customers, also predicting that "In the future, The LinguaTV concept will influence significantly the world language training / learning market". As evidenced by the other awards, LinguaTV can proudly say that it's well on its way to fulfilling this goal.
