Learning Languages with AI
AI-supported learning functions offer new possibilities for language training. In the LinguaTV app, they are used to train not only vocabulary, but also active speaking.

"Good morning! Would you accept the package for your neighbor?" - Sentences like this are part of Dmitri’s everyday life. He has been in Germany for about two years and works as a parcel delivery man. To ensure that communication with customers and colleagues works, he and many of his colleagues use the language learning app from LinguaTV. What’s special about it is that thanks to job-specific content and AI-supported learning functions, he can prepare himself specifically for typical situations from his everyday work.
LinguaTV’s mobile language courses rely on a combination of various video formats and interactive exercises that is popular with learners. If required, the self-learning courses can also be supplemented by individual learning support (mobile coaching) or used together with lessons in the virtual classroom as part of the blended learning concept.
The Berlin-based eLearning provider, which has been active since 2006, focuses on the continuous development of its offering. Many innovations are developed in direct cooperation with companies and educational institutions. One example is Deutsche Post AG, for which LinguaTV has developed a customized German language training program for parcel delivery staff. Two innovative solutions for combining company-specific learning content with the targeted use of artificial intelligence make this language training particularly effective.

The interactive vocabulary trainer can be easily equipped with company-specific vocabulary, example sentences, audio recordings and images. In addition to a pronunciation trainer function, this has now been expanded to include further forms of exercise and an AI-supported repetition manager. Thanks to this intelligent repetition and retrieval system, based on the Spaced Repetition method, learners can now improve their active vocabulary and practice pronunciation in an even faster and more effective way.
The second function is the Conversation Trainer, which is also used in language training for Deutsche Post parcel delivery staff. For this purpose, company-specific videos were produced with typical situations and dialogs from the daily work of parcel delivery staff. In the Conversation Trainer, learners now select one of the interlocutors and act out the dialog in the video. Thanks to AI-supported speech recognition, they receive immediate feedback on their pronunciation and can thus train and improve their professional communication in a targeted manner. Here, AI ensures high and self-improving accuracy in speech recognition, so that learners receive a qualitative assessment of their pronunciation, but without interrupting the playful flow of the exercise.
Conclusion:
The practical example at Deutsche Post AG shows that the use of artificial intelligence in language training can make a good contribution to improving learning programs and thus enable course participants to achieve their learning goals more quickly and easily.
