Was Geflüchteten bei der Integration wirklich hilft
Mariana, 25 Jahre alt, hat in Syrien Jura studiert. Noch während des Krieges machte sie ihren Abschluss an der Universität von Damaskus. Die Situation wurde für sie und ihre Familie immer gefährlicher. Daher sah sie keinen anderen Ausweg als über Dubai nach Deutschland zu fliehen.
In Deutschland konnte sie mit ihrem Abschluss in Jura nicht arbeiten. Daher beschloss sie erneut zu studieren, allerdings nicht Rechtswissenschaften - dies hätte zu lange gedauert - sondern Sozialarbeit. Ihr Ziel: Anderen helfen. Doch an einer staatlichen Hochschule hätte sie nicht studieren können, da man dort Deutschkenntnisse auf sehr hohem Niveau (B2-C2 gemäß GER) voraussetzt. So fand Sie an einer privaten Hochschule einen Studienplatz. Unterrichtssprache dort ist Englisch. Ihr Studium finanziert sie sich als Übersetzerin für Arabisch bei LinguaTV. Dort betreut sie mittlerweile auch andere arabisch-sprachige Kunden.
Heute, zwölf Monate nach Ihrem Ankommen in Deutschland kann man sagen, dass Mariana in die Gesellschaft integriert ist, sie studiert, sie arbeitet, hat eine (eigene) Wohnung und viele (deutsche) Freunde gefunden.
Sprachkenntnisse sind zentral, um Integration möglich zu machen
Was hat Mariana nun konkret bei der Integration in Deutschland geholfen?
Zunächst einmal hat sie relativ schnell einen Arbeitsplatz gefunden und konnte so sich und Ihr Leben in Deutschland aus eigener Kraft finanzieren. Zum anderen wurde ihr der berufliche Quereinstieg als Übersetzerin (Englisch > Arabisch) ermöglicht, sodass sie ihr Studium selbst finanzieren konnte.
Am Arbeitsplatz und im Studium fand Sie Kollegen und neue Freunde - oftmals auch Deutsche. So gelang es ihr schneller die deutsche Sprache und Kultur kennenzulernen.
Eine weitere wichtige Voraussetzung für ihre erfolgreiche Integration war das Erlernen der deutschen Sprache. Deutsch hat Mariana von Anfang an mit digitalen Lerninhalten gelernt und gleichzeitig so oft wie möglich mit Kollegen/-innen Deutsch gesprochen. Das Lernen mit digitalen Sprachkursen war für sie die flexibelste Art und Weise eine Sprache zu lernen, da sie neben dem Studium gearbeitet hat und keine Zeit hatte, zu festen Zeiten eine Sprachschule zu besuchen.
Mit ihren 25 Jahren gehört sie der Generation der „Digital Natives“ an. Sie sind es gewohnt, mit digitalen Inhalten umzugehen, vieles mobil auf ihrem Telefon zu machen. Digitale Sprachkurse sind für die junge Generation ideal, unabhängig von festen Zeiten, möglichst oft zu lernen. So kommen sie sehr schnell voran und können so oft üben und wiederholen, wie ihre individuelle Lerngeschwindigkeit es erfordert.
Für Mariana war es sicher nicht einfach, Deutsch zu lernen, da sie als absolute Anfängerin (A1 Niveau) eingestiegen ist. Aber das Durchhalten hat sich letztendlich gelohnt. Von Anfang versuchte sie mit ihren deutschen Kollegen auf deutsch zu sprechen - und dies (für uns gefühlt) sehr schnell! Mittlerweile beherrscht sie Deutsch auf B2 Niveau (fortgeschrittene Mittelstufe). Sie fühlt sich sicher, um Behördengängen und Arztbesuchen alleine wahrzunehmen, bei denen sie fließend auf Deutsch kommunizieren kann. Mit Kollegen/-innen kommuniziert sie fast nur noch auf Deutsch.
Integrierte Vorbilder helfen den Wartenden
Marianas sprachliche Fortschritte motivieren wiederum andere Geflüchtete Deutsch zu lernen. Für viele Geflüchtete stellt das Erlernen der deutschen Sprache zunächst eine scheinbar unüberwindbare Hürde dar. Mariana hilft daher seit einigen Monaten in Notunterkünften Menschen dabei mit digitalen Deutschkursen unsere Sprache zu lernen. So kann sie “Soforthilfe” leisten bei Menschen, die bereits seit acht Monaten und länger auf einen Deutschkurs warten. Dass sie Arabisch und Englisch spricht ist dabei eine riesige Hilfe. Mariana ist also nicht nur ein positives Beispiel für eine erfolgreiche Integration in die Gesellschaft, sondern auch ein Vorbild. Sie hilft anderen sich zu integrieren.
Digitale Bildungsangebote erreichen auch Frauen und Benachteiligte
Mit glänzenden Augen erzählt sie, dass sie mit den digitalen Deutschkursen auch Frauen erreicht, die z.B. aufgrund fehlender Kinderbetreuung nicht an Deutschkursen teilnehmen können. Kürzlich hat sie sogar berichtet, dass auch Menschen, die nicht lesen und schreiben können mit den Sprachlernvideos Deutsch lernen würden, indem sie die Sätze, die sie hören, wiederholen.
Der große Vorteil von Bewegtbild ist, dass durch die Visualisierung der Sprache in den Videos bei einfachen Gesprächssituationen wie z.B. Begrüßung, Vorstellung oder Bestellung beim Bäcker der Sinn des Gesagten verstanden werden kann. So können einfache Basissätze gelernt werden, ohne dass die Lernenden Lesen und Schreiben können müssen.
Die Verknüpfung von Bildern mit der neuen Sprache Deutsch erleichtert das Lernen
Wir haben sie gefragt, worin sie den großen Vorteil der digitalen Deutschkurse sieht. Ihre Lerngeschwindigkeit selbst steuern zu können, antwortete Mariana. Sie mag die Geschichten, die erzählt werden und die kulturellen Informationen in den Videos. Vieles erklärt sich durch die Bilder, die sich einprägen. So fällt es leichter, den Text zu den Szenen zu verstehen, abzuspeichern und in ähnlichen Situationen abzurufen.
Übung macht die Meisterin
Die Aussprache der deutschen Wörter fällt ihr leicht, aber die deutsche Grammatik sei schon eine Herausforderung für sie gewesen. Hier helfe nur üben, üben, üben. Sehr gut fand sie die interaktiven Übungen, mit denen sie die Kenntnisse aus den Grammatiktutorials trainieren konnte.
Mariana ist bewusst, dass sie sehr viel Glück gehabt hat. Sie hat auch die richtigen Entscheidungen getroffen um sich schnell in Deutschland zu Recht zu finden.
Wir haben sie gefragt, welches ihre drei wichtigsten Tipps für eine erfolgreiche Integration in die deutsche Gesellschaft seien. Ihre Antwort:
- Das Erlernen der deutschen Sprache ist der Schlüssel zu einer schnellen Integration. Dies sollte von Anfang an möglich sein. Die langen Wartezeiten auf Deutschkurse können mit digitalen Kursen beseitigt werden.
- Die Menschen, die hier ankommen, brauchen Informationen über die neue Kultur, die Menschen, die hier leben, ihre Werte. Es wäre sinnvoll, wenn sie von Anfang an mit Deutschen zusammenkommen und nicht isoliert in Notunterkünften leben würden.
- Natürlich ist es wichtig, dass die Geflüchteten schnell eine Beschäftigung finden, um sich und ihre Familie eigenständig ernähren zu können. Praktika zur Orientierung und die Anerkennung von Abschlüssen spielen hier eine wichtige Rolle.
So wie Mariana könnten sich viel mehr Geflüchtete schneller integrieren, wenn wir den Weg der Verständigung für sie ebnen. Um uns zu verständigen, müssen wir dieselbe Sprache sprechen. Die Mehrheit der Geflüchteten will auch möglichst schnell Deutsch lernen. Aber man lässt sie warten, viele Wochen und Monate. Das ist nicht notwendig, denn digitale Sprachkurse sind unabhängig von personellen Engpässen. Sie können so oft vervielfältigt werden, wie nötig. Es wird Zeit, dass die deutschen Integrationsbemühungen auch im digitalen Zeitalter ankommen.
